2 Texas A&M football players arrested after fight
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Two Texas A&M football players were suspended Monday from team activities after being charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief.
The school said Deshazor Everett and Floyd Raven will remain suspended pending further investigation, though they can continue their studies.
College Station police say the 21-year-old Everett and the 20-year-old Raven were charged after an April 7 fight at an apartment complex. Police say two people reported being attacked by a group that included Everett and Raven. Police say they both had visible injuries from the attack, and a car was damaged.
Everett, a junior cornerback, had a late-game interception to seal the Aggies' 29-24 upset win at top-ranked Alabama in November. Raven is a senior safety.
Both surrendered to police Monday and posted bond.
