Switzerland team doctors say they will make an early morning decision on the Liechtenstein racer's chances of starting after she hurt her right tibia in a training crash on Sunday.
Swiss women's head coach Hans Flatscher tells the Associated Press "it will be very, very difficult" for Weirather to start.
Weirather, who trains with the Swiss team and was second in three World Cup downhills this season, posted a photograph of herself using crutches in the athletes village.
Weirather got a favorable draw Tuesday as warm temperatures have made the course softer and slower. She would start No. 16, the earliest possible for high-ranked skiers.
Pre-race favorites Maria Hoefl-Riesch and Julia Mancuso are Nos. 20 and 12, respectively.
