Thanks, Internet! You've helped make the Jamaican Olympic bobsled team's dreams a reality.

After word got out that the island nation's two-man bobsledding team had qualified for Sochi but was short on funds, fans of the underdogs showed their support on crowdfunding sites such as Crowdtilt and Indiegogo, raising more than $150,000 to cover the Caribbean team's expenses as its members prepare for their first Olympics bobsledding event in 12 years.

After exceeding its short-term goals, the Jamaica Bobsleigh Federation announced it would stop their website crowdfunding efforts as of Tuesday.

"The Federation is grateful for the outpouring of international moral and financial support for the team from the international media and fans around the world," it said in a statement.

Team members Winston Watts and Marvin Dixon recently visited the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, to try to drum up support for their Olympic journey.

No word on whether a treatment of "Cool Runnings 2" was also included in that mix.
