Families of British Olympians to get free tickets
Every British athlete competing at next year's London Olympics will receive two free tickets allowing family members to attend their first competition event at the games.
British Olympic officials also said Wednesday that athletes' families will be invited to roadshows across the country between October and January, giving them advice on how to deal with various issues during the games.
In a program run by the British Olympic Association in partnership with American consumer giant Proctor & Gamble, the ''Nearest and Dearest'' of athletes will be housed at a Team GB facility where they can meet with their sons and daughters before and after competition.
BOA chief executive Andy Hunt says ''the program will ensure athletes aren't distracted in the most important moments of their life.''
