Extreme Sailing Series regatta set for San Diego in 2017

SAN DIEGO (AP) The Extreme Sailing Series will return to the United States for the first time in six years when a regatta is sailed on San Diego Bay in 2017.
There also will be a regatta that year in Los Cabos, Mexico.
The Extreme Sailing Series is contested in fast, foiling 32-foot catamarans. Other stops on the tour are Muscat, Oman; Qingdao, China; Madeira, Portugal; Hamburg, Germany; and Cardiff, Wales.
In San Diego, racing will be off Harbor Island.

The only other time the Extreme Sailing Series was sailed in the United States was in Boston in 2011.
