Charlie White's hair visits 'The Colbert Report,' gets accused of doping
Stephen Colbert accused ice dancer Charlie White's hair of getting juiced when White, his wavy blond tresses, and partner Meryl Davis visited "The Colbert Report" Wednesday night.
"Let's talk about the elephant in the room, Charlie: your hair," Colbert entreated the gold-medal winner. "I'm not suggesting that either of you is on performance-enhancing drugs, but your hair must be doping, right?"
A laugh-prone White coyly demurred, telling the Emmy-winning Comedy Central host that he's "not at liberty" to say.
White's luscious locks, which seem to have been imported straight from the "Blue Lagoon," have gotten a lot of notice throughout the Olympic gold-medal winning pair's career. The tresses even have their own Twitter accounts @charlieWshair and @charliescurls (though both have been conspicuously silent since the accusation).
"Meryl is from a magic planet where Disney princesses come from," Colbert declared. "And your hair is a magic carpet."
