Africa's governing soccer body says the IOC was disrespectful in reprimanding its president, who was cited for taking money from a former FIFA marketing agency.
The International Olympic Committee ruled Thursday that Issa Hayatou was guilty of a conflict of interest when he received $20,000 in 1995 from ISL.
The Confederation of African Football said Friday the IOC had not considered documents that showed Hayatou did not receive the money personally and that it was put into the accounts of the soccer body.
The confederation said by rejecting those documents the IOC showed ''disrespect'' and ''lack of consideration of the IOC towards the Pan-African institution.''
