With Frozen Fenway 2014 now finished, the home of the Boston Red Sox will soon make its transition from a hockey venue back to a baseball diamond.

But before it packed up the ice for good, the iconic stadium opened its doors for one more skate.

The U.S. Olympic women’s hockey team held practice at Fenway Park on Monday, less than a month before it opens its 2014 Olympic slate against Finland on Feb. 8.

The squad, which includes five Massachusetts natives, has spent the past week scrimmaging boys high school teams around New England.

Team USA, which lost to archrival Canada in the gold medal game at the 2010 Olympics, will head to Sochi ranked No. 1 in the world.

The U.S. has medaled at each of the last four Olympics, but it hasn’t claimed gold since the 1998 games in Nagano, the first to feature women’s hockey.
