Tucker retires after 15 seasons

Pesky forward Darcy Tucker is retiring after 15 seasons in the NHL.

The 35-year-old Tucker played seven-plus seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he established himself as one of the best agitators in the game.

He spent the final two years of his career with the Colorado Avalanche.

Tucker had a career-best 28 goals and 61 points in the 2005-06 season with the Leafs. He also had 100 penalty minutes that season.

He amassed 215 goals and 476 points in 947 career games with Montreal, Tampa, Toronto and Colorado.

Tucker is working to become a certified player agent.
