Tampa's Paquette remains game-time decision
Tampa forward Cedric Paquette missed most of Game 2 in Montreal with an undisclosed injury, but he is making a case to play in Game 3 after participating in practice Tuesday.
According to the Lightning website, Paquette was not limited in any way in practice, and he might be the lucky beneficiary of an extra day off Monday between Games 2 and 3 to give him additional time to recover. Paquette told the Lightning website after practice Tuesday that he was still sore but said he hopes to play in Game 3 anyway.
"You never want to lose any game, but, in the playoffs, its worse I think," Paquette said to the Lightning website. “If I need one or two days off, I’ll take it, but, if I’m good to go, I’ll be there."
Paquette, who has one point in the playoffs so far for the Lightning, is not a huge loss for Tampa in terms of scoring prowess, and he has suffered multiple injuries this season. Tampa also must consider Paquette's durability since they will play Games 3 and 4 on back-to-back nights.
