Sharks rally to beat Adler Mannheim in shootout

Dan Boyle and Ryane Clowe scored in the shootout to send the San Jose Sharks to a 3-2 victory over Adler Mannheim on Saturday.

Joe Thornton and Devin Setoguchi had third-period goals for the Sharks in their final exhibition contest.

Adler Mannheim led 1-0 for much of the game but Thornton tied it and Setoguchi gave the Sharks the lead late in the third. Jame Pollock responded for Adler Mannheim, sending the game to overtime.

Manuel Klinge also scored in the first for Adler Mannheim.
