BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) The Buffalo Sabres have recalled center Mikhail Grigorenko from the minors in a series of moves made before their game against the New Jersey Devils on Friday night.

Grigorenko rejoins the Sabres for the sixth time this season, while Buffalo demoted forward Tim Schaller and defenseman Chad Ruhwedel to Rochester, their American Hockey League affiliate.

Ruhwedel played in two games after being called up last weekend. He was sent back down with Andrej Meszaros set to return after missing two games with a hand injury.

Grigorenko, Buffalo's 2012 first-round draft pick, has a goal and assist in 13 games with the Sabres this season.
