The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Chad Ruhwedel from the minors to address their banged-up blue line.

Bogosian has already missed one game due to a lower body injury. Meszaros will not play after aggravating a hand injury.

Ruhwedel leads Rochester defensemen with 31 points (eight goals, 23 assists) in 59 games. He's yet to play for the Sabres this season. In the previous two years, he's had one assist in 28 career games for Buffalo.
