Report: Bruins narrow list of GM candidates to four

The Bruins might be closing in on a new general manager. According to a report from Joe McDonald of ESPN Boston, the team is down to four finalists for the job.

Bruins assistant GM Don Sweeney is among the four finalists, McDonald said, but his report claims the Bruins will take their time as they attempt to replace former GM Peter Chiarelli.

The Bruins missed out on a possible GM candidate Monday, as the Devils announced Ray Shero would replace Lou Lamoriello as the New Jersey GM. Shero had been a candidate for the Bruins' job back in 2006 before the team ultimately decided to hire Chiarelli.
