NEW YORK (AP) The New York Rangers agreed to terms Wednesday with restricted free agent forward J.T. Miller on a $5.5 million, two-year deal.

Agent Scott Bartlett confirmed the terms of the deal, which carries a $2.75 million cap hit. Miller will make a $2.5 million in salary with a $250,000 bonus next season and $2.75 million in 2017-18.

Miller had 22 goals and 21 assists this past season and had career highs in several categories, including games, goals, assists and game-winning goals (five).

Miller was one of two Rangers players - and the only forward - who skated in all of the team's 82 regular-season games. He led the Rangers in even strength goals (20), tied for the team lead in game-winning goals, ranked second in even strength points (39), ranked third in hits (174) and tied for third in goals.
