Predators sign defenseman Anthony Bitetto to 2-year deal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) The Nashville Predators have signed defenseman Anthony Bitetto to a two-year, $1.2 million contract.

The Predators announced the deal Friday.

Bitetto, 25, has played in 11 straight games for the Predators, and he has played 16 of his 17 games this season since Nashville traded defenseman Seth Jones to Columbus in January. A native of Island Park, New York, Bitetto has played 24 career games with Nashville with the majority of his first three seasons spent in the AHL with the Milwaukee Admirals. Bitetto

The Predators selected the 6-foot-1, 210-pound defenseman with the 168th pick overall in the 2010 entry draft.
