Phoenix Coyotes defenseman Ed Jovanovski was suspended for two games by the NHL on Wednesday for a forearm to the head of Minnesota Wild center Andrew Ebbett. Jovanovski hit Ebbett in Monday's game, and no penalty was called on the play. Jovanovski will miss Thursday's game at Los Angeles and Saturday's game against San Jose. He will be eligible to return on Monday at Detroit. He will lose more than $67,000 in pay, with the money going to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
