Sabres Will Announce New GM Soon
Since Jack Eichel gave the Sabres an ultimatum and both the coach and general manager ended up being fired, it seems Buffalo has found a new GM. The man in question is Jason Botterill, he's been a part of the Penguins championship runs which is great to bring on board for a young club. (Tip Of The Tower)

Ottawa Forward Celebrates In Such An Awesome Way
Ottawa came out of game four on top and the guy who won it for them Kyle Turris went and celebrated in the best way possible. After the game, Turris went and joined a banquet for the Capital City Condors a youth hockey team that has special disabilities. Now that's what hockey is about, it's not always about the goals, wins or championships, it's also about the outstanding men that play this game and what they do for their respective communities. Maple Leafs Gauthier Out Six Months
Frederik Gauthier is expected to join the fourth line next season as a regular since it's unlikely the club will re-sign Brian Boyle. But depending on how well his surgery goes he may just be able to do that. What happened you might ask? Jake Dotchin a known goon went and took him out, Dotchin has a history with hurting the Leafs top prospects, he went after Auston Matthews as well as Kasperi Kapanen. Dotchin is a player that definitely doesn't belong in the game of hockey. (Editor In Leaf)

Colorado Players Dominating At IIHF World Championship
Everyone knows the Avalanche didn't have the best season or even the best lottery draft at that. However, a few players went to the IIHF Worlds in hopes to salvage something from the year. And in doing so both Tyson Barrie and Nathan MacKinnon have been top tier, Barrie leads the tournament in points while MacKinnon has put up four points, three of which came in the form of a hat trick. Blues Forward Played The Entire Post-Season Injured
It's not uncommon for NHL players to play in the playoffs while injured, usually just a hamstring, or a broken finger. But nope forward Alex Steen was playing with a broken foot. Now how do you play with a broken foot? Steen definitely deserves an award for doing so because out of all the injuries that's easily the toughest to play through. (Arch Authority)

Islanders Prospect Signs New Deal
Isles prospect Ilya Sorokin has gotten himself a new contract, and not an extension from the Islanders but one from CSKA in Russia. The deal isn't an extension which should be great news for fans of Long Island it's just a restructure for Sorokin to earn more money until his contract expires in 2018. But for the sake of contract talks hopefully he doesn't sign an extension since the Isles have had issues with Jaroslav Halak and if Thomas Greiss can handle the workload. (Eyes On Isles)
