TORONTO (AP) Maple Leafs center Nazem Kadri will miss Monday night's game against the New York Islanders because he missed a team meeting.

Interim coach Peter Horachek sent Kadri home Sunday after he was 20 minutes late to practice. Kadri said he overslept, accepted his mistake and the consequences.

The 24-year-old player has 16 goals and 20 assists this season. Zach Sill will move over to center in Kadri's absence against the Islanders, with Brandon Kozun returning to the lineup.

Also, defensemen Stephane Robidas and Roman Polak need season-ending surgery. The 38-year-old Robidas will have surgery on his left shoulder. Polak, acquired last offseason from St. Louis, will have hernia surgery.
