Jagr on vowing to bring back mullet: 'I have to'
After rocking the mullet to begin his NHL career, Jaromir Jagr is intent on bringing the hairstyle back to the present.
Yes, you read that correctly. The 43-year-old Florida Panthers forward and future Hall of Famer told George Richards of the Miami Herald that he is letting his hair go long.
"We have to wear helmets, so that's why I'm growing my hair back out," Jagr told the newspaper of being recognized outside the arena. "I'm growing it back. I have to."
I will make it my mission this year, work 24h around the clock 2 get Jags to bring this puppy back! It's gonna happen pic.twitter.com/NcAiEzmtmU

If there's a man to thank for spurring on Jagr, it's teammate Roberto Luongo. The 36-year-old goaltender told his Twitter followers in mid-September that it was his "mission" to convince Jagr of bringing back the awe-inspiring hairstyle.
Mission accomplished.
