Islanders, Sim agree to one-year deal

The New York Islanders have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with winger Jon Sim.

Sim had 13 goals and nine assists in 77 games last season, his third with the Islanders.

During the 2008-09 season, he split the season between the Islanders and their American Hockey League affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

Sim has 74 goals and 61 assists in 435 career NHL games in 12 seasons. He has played in 164 AHL games with the Utah Grizzlies, Philadelphia Phantoms and Sound Tigers.
