A dozen days after the Anaheim Ducks traded for one of the most coveted forwards in the league, they've added another weapon to their offensive arsenal.

On Wednesday, the team announced on Twitter the signing of 33-year-old winger Dany Heatley to a one-year contract.

Heatley spent the last three seasons with the Minnesota Wild, notching 47 goals and 55 assists over 194 games. He has scored 40 goals in a season six times in his career and reached the 40-plus plateau on four occasions (as well as tallying 39 goals twice).

Less than two weeks ago, the Ducks acquired center Ryan Kesler in a trade with the Vancouver Canucks that sent forward Nick Bonino, defenseman Luca Sbisa to the Canucks; draft picks were also part of the deal on both sides.

TSN's Darren Dreger reports that the Heatley deal is worth $1 million.
