Flu bug invades Lightning locker room ahead of Game 7

Apparently when Braydon Coburn vomited on the bench during Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals, there was more to it than just food poisoning.

According to Lightning forward Alex Killorn, a flu bug is making its way through the Tampa roster, and the timing couldn't be worse. The Lightning are due to play a Game 7 Friday vs. the New York Rangers to decide the fate of their season.

"It's tough. We had a few guys under the weather," Killorn said in a media conference call Wednesday. "Not that that's any excuse. Most of the guys have been ready for games. [Wednesday] is going to be huge, not only for injured guys, but guys feeling kind of sick. We're going to use those kind of days to get healthy. We're not going to use that as an excuse."

The Lightning are lucky to have an extra day between Games 6 and 7, as a Billy Joel concert at Madison Square Garden delayed Game 7 to May 29 instead of May 28.
