Flames' Morrison day to day

Calgary Flames center Brendan Morrison is day to day after hurting his knee after hurting it during a game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The team said Friday that Morrison hurt the knee when he was pinned aggainst the boards in a 6-4 loss Wednesday night. he limped off the ice in the third period.

The 35-year-old Morrison has been a pleasant surprise for the Flames this season. Signed to a one-year contract in October after the Vancouver Canucks released him, Morrison moved up Calgary's depth chart to center the top line with wingers Jarome Iginla and Alex Taguay.

Morrison has nine goals and 32 assists this season.
