Flames' Hiller out at least one week after collision with Senators' Ryan
Calgary Flames goaltender Jonas Hiller is expected to miss at least one week with a lower-body injury, coach Bob Hartley announced on Friday.
Hiller suffered the injury following a third-period collision with Ottawa forward Bobby Ryan during Wednesday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Senators. The 33-year-old Swiss star has struggled mightily this season, posting a 2-3-0 mark with a 3.67 goals-against average and an .861 save percentage.
Joni Ortio will receive the start on Friday as Calgary (2-7-1) plays the first of four games in a seven-day stretch. The Flames, who have dropped three in a row, begin that run with a home game versus the Montreal Canadiens (9-2-0).
Calgary recalled goaltender Karri Ramo from Stockton of the American Hockey League on Thursday.
