Connor McDavid returns to ice with one of season's nastiest goals
Connor McDavid played his first hockey game in three months on Tuesday night. Just what a big deal that is, consider this:
● The No. 1 overall pick in last year’s draft entered Tuesday with more games missed (37) than played (13) in his young NHL career.
● The Oilers forward missed three months with a broken clavicle, a clavicle which hadn’t taken a single meaningful hit since it was broken on Nov. 3 and surgically repaired the next day.
● McDavid turned 19 three weeks ago.
So when he took the home ice on Tuesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, you figure he’d be at least a wee bit rusty, right?
Does the goal in the above video look rusty to you?
