Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links-Panik At The United Center
Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks won their first game of the season, and it wasn’t Jonathan Toews or Patrick Kane that recorded the first hat trick of the season, but it was none other than Richard Panik.
The Chicago Blackhawks summer had three main talking points. The first was how much better the defense was going to be with the addition of Brian Campbell, and let’s be honest Campbell has looked like he’s 37 years old there the first few games of the season.
The second biggest talking point of the offseason was how many Chicago Blackhawks prospects were going to be in the lineup, and how much they were going to frustrate Joel Quenneville especially in the early part of the season. Nick Schmaltz and Ryan Hartman have scored goals already, and Tyler Motte has looked pretty good through three games.
The final talking point was the question would Richard Panik really be able to play on the top line with Jonathan Toews. Well, the answer to that question through three games is a resounding yes!
Panik has four goals in the first three games, and he’s doing it by being in the right spot which of course is right in front of the opposing goalie. Panik banged home a rebound for the first goal of the season in front of Jake Allen Wednesday night, and he was right there last night in front of the Predators goalie putting three into the back of the net for his first career hat trick.
