Chicago Blackhawks Morning Links- 6 Pack To Go
Good morning Chicago Blackhawks fans! The Chicago Blackhawks scored late in overtime to extend their winning streak to 6 games.
The star of the last two games have had to be the goalies! On Saturday night, Corey Crawford shut down the Stars in the third period for what felt like an extended penalty kill for the entire period. On Sunday night Scott Darling let one in late in the third period, but in overtime he came up with a save that reminded many of his huge save in the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs against the Nashville Predators.

The Chicago Blackhawks have a 9-3-1 record now through 13 games, and the record is a reflection of how good the goalies have been at the start of the season.
The other thing Chicago Blackhawks fans should be very excited about is the fact that Jonathan Toews is starting to heat up just like he normally does when the calendar turns to November. Toews picked up a goal and 2 assists last night and he now is up to 10 points on the season.
Of course, the player that has been the biggest surprise has been Artem Anisimov who extended his point streak to 11 games last night. He scored basically a tap in to extend the streak, but he looks way more confident this season then last and his production sure proves it.
I’ve seen other fans write this, but I’m not sold on the Chicago Blackhawks and this 6 game winning streak, but when you look around the NHL, I don’t see other teams that have gotten that much better either, so maybe our standards for the Chicago Blackhawks have reached all-time highs that we can’t enjoy this year’s version. I’m enjoying the 6 game winning streak that’s for sure!
