Canucks acquire Lapierre, Sharp

The Vancouver Canucks acquired centers Maxim Lapierre and MacGregor Sharp from the Anaheim Ducks for center Joel Perrault and a third-round pick in the next year's draft.

The deal was completed Monday before the NHL trade deadline.

Lapierre, 25, has split this season between Montreal and Anaheim. He has five goals and six assists in 59 games. In 314 career NHL games, Lapierre posted 40 goals and 43 assists.

Sharp, 25, had six goals and seven assists in 50 games this season with Syracuse of the AHL.

Perrault didn't record a point in seven games with the Canucks. With Manitoba of the AHL, he had three goals and 15 assists.
