Canadiens scoring leader Plekanec out vs. Sabres

Published Nov. 5, 2010 8:53 p.m. ET

Montreal center Tomas Plekanec missed the Canadiens' game against the Buffalo Sabres on Friday night because of flulike symptoms.

Plekanec, tied with Andrei Kostitsyn for the team scoring lead with 10 points, skated in the pregame warmups but was subsequently scratched.

Plekanec has 19 points in 37 career games against Buffalo.

Sabres starting goalie Ryan Miller was out of uniform for the second straight game because of a lower-body injury. Miller also will miss Buffalo's game Saturday night in Toronto.
