Bruins LW Sturm leaves playoff game in 1st shift

Bruins forward Marco Sturm has left Boston's playoff game against Philadelphia in the opening period with what appeared to be a right leg injury.

The Bruins announced later in the period that Sturm would not be returning to Saturday's game.

He went to the ice in the Flyers' zone in the opening minute and remained there while play continued at the other end. At the whistle, a Bruins trainer came on and Sturm eventually got to his feet. He skated off, but favored his right leg.

Sturm scored the game-winner in overtime of the Winter Classic against the Flyers at Fenway Park.
