Blue Jackets recall Chaput from AHL

The Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled forward Michael Chaput from their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.

The move was announced on Saturday.

The 21-year-old Chaput has two goals and two assists in six games with Springfield this season. As a rookie last season, he had 13 goals and 19 assists in 73 games with the Falcons.

Chaput, Philadelphia's first pick - No. 89 overall in the 2010 NHL draft - was acquired by Columbus along with Greg Moore from the Flyers for Tom Sestito on Feb. 28, 2011.
