Blackhawks may have named their demands for Sharp
An unidentified NHL source told NHL correspondent for The 4th Period B.D. Gallof the price it would take for a team to pry Patrick Sharp from the Chicago Blackhawks, and it's a little hefty.
Per NHL source, CHI currently asking for 1st rd pick, A-level prospect & top 6 forward on entry-level contract for Patrick Sharp #isles— B.D. Gallof (@BDGallof) June 19, 2015
Look, we've all binged watched enough "Pawn Stars" on a lazy Sunday afternoon to know that Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman is simply throwing a high offer on the board to drive up the price. It's like when some guy walks into the shop and tells Rick Harrison he wants to sell his Les Paul guitar for 15 grand, and Rick offers him 2 grand. They settle for eight grand, and everyone is happy.
What is the actual price for a top-six forward who has won three Stanley Cups in six years? Only time will tell.
Heard from a good source who says Sharp will be traded next week. It's been expected, but that's still a big name to lose. #Blackhawks— Brian Hedger (@BrianHedger) June 19, 2015
