Blackhawks hope Kane ready for Blues

Published Dec. 27, 2010 12:00 a.m. ET

The Chicago Blackhawks hope to have star Patrick Kane back in the lineup after missing three weeks with a left ankle injury when they visit the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

He went through a full workout on Monday and, barring a setback, is expected to be ready for the game. That would be another big boost for a team that has won four straight.

Kane has been out since Dec. 5, when he fell awkwardly along the right boards while trying to avoid a check by Calgary defenseman Cory Sarich. The Blackhawks were also without forward Marian Hossa (lower body injury) for 10 games before he returned Sunday against Columbus.
