Beard tug of war breaks out during Game 1 of Sharks, Blues

With all the playoff beards in the NHL, it was only a matter of time before something like this would happen.

San Jose Sharks forward Joe Thornton and St. Louis Blues forward David Backes engaged in a tug of war of sorts, but instead of using a rope the two hockey combatants used their beards.

It's tough to figure who actually won this one-on-one engagement.
