2010 1st round pick signs entry level contract

The St. Louis Blues signed forward Jaden Schwartz, a first-round pick in 2010, to an entry level contract. Schwartz will join the team Tuesday in Chicago for a game against the Blackhawks.

The 19-year-old Schwartz is a sophomore at Colorado College and leads the school with 15 goals and 41 points in 30 games. As a freshman, the 5-10, 193-pound Schwartz had 17 goals and 47 points in 30 games, leading the nation's freshmen with a scoring average of 1.56 points.

Schwartz, a native of Wilcox, Saskatchewan, was the 14th pick of the 2010 Entry draft.
