You snooze, you lose: Rams' Bailey fined for post-touchdown nap
St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey decided to sleep on the job - and it cost him in the wallet.
Bailey tweeted Tuesday that the NFL fined him for his post-touchdown celebration in Sunday's victory at Arizona, when he curled up with the ball under his helmet and pretended to take a nap.
Stedman told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch his impromptu celebration was a reminder to the rest of the league that he should not be the forgotten man in the team's passing game.
"I just feel like at times a lot of guys around just sleep on me," Bailey said. "So you know I just wanted to let 'em know they need to wake up."
Rams coach Jeff Fisher was not amused by the third-year wideout's antics, saying Bailey probably deserved a penalty "which would've hurt us."
Ahhhhhh #NFL Fines suck!!!!! I meant no harm by what I did... Smh
