Would the Seahawks consider trading Michael Bennett?

Published Apr. 21, 2015 6:20 p.m. ET

Michael Bennett has made it clear this offseason that he does not want to be traded.

He has also made it clear that he is not happy with his current contract.

Many people did not realize how unhappy he was until he decided not to show up for voluntary workouts this week.

Now the Seahawks have some decisions to make regardning Bennett.

They could continue to do nothing as these workouts are voluntary and they could just write it off as no big deal. They could try to restructure his contract that he just signed last year for $28.5 million and $16 million guaranteed. Or they could attempt to trade him which will free up some cap space for the signing of Bruce Irvin and of course Russell Wilson.

Seattle Pi breaks down the money it would cost to trade Bennett and what the Seahawks would likely get in return were they to pull the trigger on such a deal.
