Williams in for Seattle, Gamble out for Carolina

Published Dec. 5, 2010 3:21 p.m. ET

Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams is active for Sunday's game against Carolina despite being questionable with a foot injury.

Williams missed last week's game against Kansas City with a foot strain. He returned to practice on Thursday and will start.

Seattle will be without tight end John Carlson, who has a hip injury, guard Chester Pitts and defensive tackle Colin Cole.

Carolina cornerback Chris Gamble is out with a hamstring injury. Gamble was benched last week against Cleveland and served as the Panthers nickel back. Also out starting left guard Travelle Wharton and quarterback Brian St. Pierre.
