Running back and former All-Pro Leon Washington has finished his first extensive work in full pads in a Seahawks practice 10 months after a gruesome leg injury.
The former New York Jets dynamo told coach Pete Carroll before Friday's practice he was ready for full participation.
Washington suffered a compound fracture in his leg last October during a Jets-Raiders game. Some initially thought his career was in jeopardy.
Seattle traded for him in April. He had been limited in the first six days of training camp.

Carroll says he is excited Washington is ahead of schedule and joining the competition to become the lead running back.
Washington says ''it's just a feel thing'' each day on how often he will practice fully early in camp.
