Vontaze Burfict back to try to help 1-2 Bengals regroup

CINCINNATI (AP) Linebacker Vontaze Burfict is back from a three-game suspension, and the Cincinnati Bengals are looking for him to inject some energy into a team that's lost two in a row.

Burfict was suspended by the NFL for the first three games of the season because of his numerous illegal hits on opponents. His hit to receiver Antonio Brown's head drew a penalty that set up Pittsburgh's last-minute field goal for an 18-16 playoff win last season.

A 29-17 loss to Denver on Sunday left the defending AFC North champions (1-2) with their worst start in five years. They host the Miami Dolphins (1-2) on Thursday night. Burfict thinks he can play close to the entire game.
