USA Pan Am squad names Marquise Goodwin to long jump team

It appears that the long jump career of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is not over yet. After competing in the U.S. Championships last month, Goodwin was named to Team USA's Pan American squad.

The games will take place from July 10 to 26 in Toronto, Canada. However, the qualifying rounds for the long jump is set for July 21 and the finals are set for July 22. Fortunately for the Bills and Goodwin, training camp doesn't start until July 31.

Last month, Goodwin came in fourth place at the U.S. Championships, one spot shy of qualifying for the World Championships that will take place in Beijing. That was an impressive feat considering Goodwin hadn't long-jumped since he placed 10th in the 2012 London Olympics. Goodwin will enter training camp in danger of being cut after a very unimpressive 2014 season in which he only recorded one catch in 10 games.Ā
