Tom Brady misses practice, makes an appearance on the Patriots' injury report
UPDATE 5:15 p.m. ET: Brady popped up on this week's injury report with a knee injury.
See original story below.
Quarterback Tom Brady wasn't at practice for the New England Patriots on Wednesday, and the reason for his absence wasn't immediately clear.
Brady took a hit to the quad from Seattle's Kam Chancellor in Week 10 that has required additional treatment, but he was just fine in Sunday's win over the 49ers, and was named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week for his performance. It was the 27th time in his career he's earned the honor.
In other Patriots news, tight end Rob Gronkowski was present after missing last week with a lung injury, but he's not expected to play against the Jets on Sunday.
