Titans WR McBride: 'I want to matter' in 2016
Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Tre McBride earned his way onto the active roster in November after spending the first half of the season on the team's practice squad.
Not simply content to occupy a spot on the 53-man roster, the 2015 seventh-round pick has set loftier goals for next season.

“I want to matter,’’ McBride said. “I really want to matter. I want to help the team win no matter how I can."
McBride appeared in seven games for the Titans, contributing mostly on special teams. He recorded both his first career catch and touchdown in Tennessee's Week 16 loss to the Houston Texans and finished the season with two receptions for eight yards.
The former William & Mary standout said he plans to remain in Nashville during the offseason working towards becoming an impact player.
“I am going to train, and be focused. I am going to be in Tennessee. I am going to be here working,’’ McBride said. “I am trying to be a playmaker. I am trying to be on the field for the majority of the snaps (in 2016), scoring touchdowns, catching balls, returning kicks, the whole nine (yards).”
As the Titans look for more offensive weapons to help quarterback Marcus Mariota, a breakthrough season by McBride would be a welcome development, both for the receiver and the team.
