Titans' rookie Blackson enjoying new position

Going from playing in a 4-3 defensive alignment in college to a 3-4 defense in the NFL has meant a position switch for Tennessee Titans rookie Angelo Blackson.
The fourth-round pick out of Auburn, who played defensive tackle in college is now a defensive end with the Titans. So far, he said he's enjoying the move.
"It hasn't really been all that difficult. For me, the (defensive tackle positions) were hard because you're in tight spaces," Blackson said, via John Glennon of the Tennessean. "Playing at the end, it's similar, but you only have the tackle to worry about. It's still a tough position, but it's something I'm transitioning to."
As the Titans prepare to hold a three-day mandatory minicamp beginning on Tuesday, head coach Ken Whisenhunt said he's been pleased with the way the 6-foot-4, 318-pound Blackson has adapted to his new position.
"He's done well for a young guy," Whisenhunt said. "He's had some of those plays where you notice him. He's obviously a big physical guy in the run game. Athletically, I think he's shown up more than maybe we thought when we initially drafted him."
