Titans place tackle Roos on season-ending IR, sign TE Brackett
The Tennessee Titans have signed tight end Brett Brackett to their active roster and have placed offensive tackle Michael Roos on injured reserve.
The Titans announced the moves Saturday. Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said Thursday that Roos would undergo surgery, but didn't indicate at the time whether Roos would miss the rest of the season. Roos, a 10-year veteran, has an injured right knee.
Brackett joined the Titans' practice squad Sept. 9 after spending training camp with the Miami Dolphins. He has never played in an NFL regular-season game.
The addition of Brackett adds depth at the tight end position heading into the Titans' game Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Titans tight end Craig Stevens will miss Sunday's game with a quadriceps injury.
