Titans owner hints at making changes to the team's uniforms
The Tennessee Titans could be the latest pro sports franchise to update its on-field attire. Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk hinted that the team might be undergoing a uniform makeover in 2018.
"We can refresh and they definitely could use a little updating, but it takes a while to get that done," Strunk told ESPN on Monday. "I kind of visited with the league office about it a little bit a couple months ago. But we got so busy that I didn't go back to it.
"I'm going to go back. It can't happen this year. I think it's a two-year thing."
The Titans have worn the same uniforms since 1999, the year the organization changed its name from the Oilers. Though the uniforms appear to be a couple of years away, the Titans did remodel the team's facility this summer.
"Well, we started out with changing the carpet here," Strunk said, referencing the remodel. "Never say never. I haven't really gone there enough to know. ... Maybe a lot. Maybe just a fresh up."
Maybe a new look will help the team's fortunes on the field. The Titans have won just five combined games the past two years.
