The New York Jets entered Sunday's game with a quarterback making his first NFL start against one of the most ferocious defenses in the NFL.
They were going to have to get pretty creative to find the end zone.
But there's creativity, then there's what the Jets ran down 3-0 in the second quarter Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Jets had already driven 95 yards deep into L.A. territory when they busted out this beautiful hook-and-lateral play (above).

Why is this play not a staple of the modern NFL offense? We need more rugby-style pitches in football. Yes, it increases the chances of a turnover, but who cares? It increases the chances of cool stuff like this happening.
We're all in for cool stuff.
