Texans WR Johnson leaves with injury

Published Oct. 2, 2011 1:00 a.m. ET

Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson limped off the field in Houston with just under six minutes remaining in the first half against the Steelers after sustaining a right knee injury.

Later reports indicated Johnson had strained his hamstring. There was no word on whether he would return.

At the 6:20 mark of the second quarter, Johnson caught a 13-yard pass at midfield from quarterback Matt Schaub and crumpled to the turf at Reliant Stadium. His left knee buckled and Johnson was writhing in pain.

He walked to the locker room with the Texans’ medical staff without assistance.
