Tennessee to pick up fifth-year option on WR Kendall Wright
The Tennessee Titans have seen enough of wide receiver Kendall Wright to know they want him to stick around - at least for one more season.
According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, the Titans plan to pick up the fifth-year option on Wright's rookie contract.
Tennessee selected Wright with the No. 20 pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Teams have until May 3 to decide whether to exercise their 2016 options on 2012 first-rounders.
Had the Titans not elected to pick up Wright's option, he would have become a free agent at the end of the coming season.
According to Wyatt, Wright stands to make roughly $7.3 million in 2016.
Through three seasons, Wright has 215 receptions for 2,420 yards and 12 touchdowns.
